Join us for the first edition of a competition where students take the lead in reimagining the future of sustainable advertising.
Ad Net Zero is a global initiative committed to reducing the carbon impact of advertising to net zero. In Europe, Ad Net Zero is active in Ireland, Poland, Finland, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, and Türkiye, working with trade associations, agencies and brands to implement sustainable change through its 5-Action Framework.
As advertising becomes a force for good, the next generation of creatives and strategists—you—have the opportunity to play a central role. This competition empowers edcom students to lead the industry’s transformation by applying Ad Net Zero’s Action 5 to real-world challenges. Teams should consist of 1 or 2 students.
Together, edcom and Ad Net Zero invite you to:
Create a 3–5-minute video that educates and inspires, explaining Action 5 of the framework and communicates its significance.

Grand Prize:
2 entries to the Effie Day on the 10th of December in Brussels, including:
- Access to two industry conferences
- Your winning video showcased to an audience of agency and brand leaders during the Ad Net Zero coffee break.
- Entry to the Care Awards
- Entry to the Effie Awards Europe Gala
Travel stipend: €500 per participant (no matter where you travel from).
Industry visibility: Winning and runner-up videos will be shared across Ad Net Zero’s platforms.

Take a look at the Effie Day 2024
The Effie Day starts with two Industry Conferences. Last year’s stage lit up with experts from Kantar, Google, Lipton, TBWA, BETC and Allianz.
Their thought-provoking sessions were intertwined with the presentation of three exceptional Effie cases: "Sardinian Soul", "Sweden not Switzerland", and the Grand Effie winner, "A Piece of Me".
Right after the conferences, the spotlight shifts to the ACT Care Awards, where we celebrate outstanding campaigns that promote Care for People and the Environment.
Backed by partners like Euronews, Havas, Adforum, IAA France, Accor Hotels and Eurostar, last year’s winners proved that purpose and performance can share the same stage.
The Effie Day wraps up with the black‑tie Effie Awards Gala. As guests enjoy a gourmet dinner, the room is filled with excitement while each gold, silver, and bronze winner is announced.
