European Advertising Certificate
The European Advertising Certificate (EAC) is an online foundation course which aims to enhance the knowledge of young professionals in the commercial communications industry.
The next edition will be launched in January 2017 (exam in April 2017).
The qualification compromises of 30 hours of online learning, culminating in a 3 hour offline exam.
The qualification is primarily suitable for young professionals in the advertising or commercial communications industry with up to two years of experience.
The online programme consists of 7 learning paths or modules:
1. Advertising and Communication in Context
2. Understanding Client Business
3. The Strategic Planner’s Toolkit
4. Client, Creative and Media Briefs
5. Understanding Media Channels
6. Creativity and Creative Development
7. Effectiveness.

7. Effectiveness.
The course builds on the learning you’ve already acquired – whether from your studies, or in your agency, through on the job training, external training or further education courses.
The 3 hour offline exam will be organised on 26 April 2017 .
You will need to answer 5 out of 8 questions in essay style in English.
An overview of the venue and time for your country will be published closer to date.
Please note that the exam is only 2 hours in Ireland.
For EACA members within Europe: learning and exam for 250 EUR (+VAT as appropriate).
For EACA members outside Europe and for non-members: learning and exam for 500 EUR (+VAT as appropriate).
Once we have received your payment, you will automatically receive access to the online learning platform and be registered for the written exam.
