Tim Hoppen

Tim HoppenAfter graduating in communication and linguistics, I decided to become a travel agent, because I enjoyed traveling so much. Eight years later I switched to Education. I have been working at THUAS for more than 20 years, where I lecture communication and critical thinking. Furthermore I am the chair of the thesis committee and I am part of the curriculum committee and a research group. My fields of expertise are: Lecturing, Connecting people, Study career guidance, Study tracking systems, Curriculum development, Management of courses, Communication and marketing communication, Business Communication, Critical thinking, Creating links between education and business, Internationalisation and interculturalisation, International collaboration in education, Supervising (international) projects and (international) internships, Incorporation of intercultural dimensions in education, Thesis tutoring, Assessment of theses.

Inge Barkmeijer

Curious by nature, marketeer by heart, lecturer and creative coach by profession.

After ten years of work experience in the field of Marketing and MarCom, Dr. Inge Barkmeijer has been lecturing at The Hague University. She is often found at conferences where topics like neuromarketing, branding, social media marketing, creative thinking, and, lately, AI are discussed. This allows her to stay up to date with the latest trends and developments, which she then shares with her students. Inge is dedicated to helping students develop into young marketing professionals who can confidently navigate change.

Pepe Martínez

Ph. D. in Communication (CEU Cardenal Herrera University-2008) and Professor of Creativity and Innovation.  He is the Head of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Department in the Faculty of Humanities and Communication Sciences. As a Research Fellow has held postdoctoral research stays in the United Kingdom, in the Netherlands and in the United States in the Michigan State University. He is the leader of the research group “Rock&Love” based on the study of creativity in the digital era. He began his career in a creative consulting called Createle and then as Account Manager in McCann Erickson. Once in the academic field, he also has a long experience as a strategic consultant for different national brands in the field of beauty, food, energy and the environment. He is a member of the Board of Management of the Valencian Public Media Corporation (CVMC). @ppmtnz 

Manuel Millán

Has a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia and a Diploma in Photography from the CEU San Pablo Higher School of Photography and Image. In 2017 he received the Doctorate mention in Communication, with the PhD thesis entitled “The impact of Agustí Centelles’ work on Soldiers de Salamina by David Trueba and El Mar by Agustí Villaronga”. He is currently a professor at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU, in Valencia. He teaches Creativity, Art, Fundamentals of Audiovisual Communication and Cinematography and Lighting in the degrees of Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism and is tutor of Final Degree Projects in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations. He is also a professor in postgraduate Master’s Degree in Design and Graphic Communication, teaching Digital Image: Photography and Video. He is a member of the Organizing Committee of PROYECTA audiovisual creation contest of Audiovisual Projects, and curator of MEDIARTE – Creative Exhibition of Students and coordinator of CEUPhoto.

University of Bucharest

The University of Bucharest is rich in history and has been actively contributing to the development and modernisation of Romanian education, science and culture since 1694. Currently, the University of Bucharest comprises 19 faculties and 2 autonomous departments and over 30.000 students of which approximately 35% are enrolled in the master’s and doctoral programmes. The University of Bucharest is one of the most important research centers in the country, currently comprising over 50 institutes, departments, research centers, and 5 research platforms and was ranked by the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport as the first university for advanced research and education. The college has 3 specializations: journalism, PR, and advertising and has been developing a strong relationship between academia and industry over years.

Madalina Moraru

Mădălina Moraru is the Vice-Dean of Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies, Universities of Bucharest, Associate Professor and Director of the Advertising and Digital Communication Master Program at the same university. She has over 16 years of experience teaching advertising and she is a member of Edcom – EACA, ECREA, and ESA.  From 2010 to 2013 she received postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Oklahoma, US, and Staffordshire University and Buckinghamshire New University, UK.  Between 2010 and 2013 she conducted a strategic European grant on glocalization topic.

During her activity, she authored many chapters, over 20 research articles, as well as two books focusing on myth, storytelling, and planning in advertising.

She is active by getting involved in the Romanian industry’s projects and being invited to the most important events: Advertising Day, Fibra award, member in Romanian Effie Juries.
