Leonard Savage, Chief Creative Officer, McCann Prague, Czech Republic
Leonard Savage has been a creative leader in advertising for over 16 years. He began his career as a designer and art director in Boston working on financial, banking and smaller technology clients, before moving to New York to begin working on large, blue chip brands such as IBM, Dupont, Intel and Mercedes-Benz.
He moved to global leadership as a founding creative director of Leagas Delaney Prague, working as the worldwide creative lead for Skoda Auto. He returned to New York after 6 years in Europe to become an executive creative director within both Grey NY and Grey London. Since 2014 he has led a global group of diverse clients from P&G, BP, NFL, Marriott international, Nokia and British Petroleum.
Most recently, he initiated and partnered with Gillette on the Handle With Care project, which resulted in the creation of the Gillette Treo, which won 7 lions and was recently awarded invention of the year by Time Magazine.
Leo is currently leading team of McCann Prague as Chief Creative Officer, and he still tries to make time to design. Tries being the operative word.
Grant Mackenzie, CMO, Asahi, Czech Republic
After completing a degree in Marketing & Business Law at Strathclyde University in Glasgow and a DipM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Grant started his career at MARS Inc. He joined the snack-food unit in the UK as management trainee in 1997 and worked in the UK and abroad in various local and international marketing positions of increasing seniority.
8 years later in 2005, he joined the brewer SABMiller in Budapest as marketing manager in the Europe Hub for 18 months. This was followed by marketing director roles leading the local units in Spain (2yrs), Romania (3yrs), and the flagship European business in Czechia & Slovakia (6years).
In 2018 after ASAHI acquired the SABMiller European units, he was promoted to head of the marketing function in ASAHI CEE. In 2020, Grant became CMO (chief marketing officer) for ASAHI Europe & International, a business that spans the globe excluding Japan and Australia and includes approx. 180 marketers. The role is responsible for the development of all key global brands – Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Asahi SuperDry, Pilsner Urquell, Kozel and Grolsch.
Stefan Teodorescu, Regional Marketing Capability Director, Asahi, Romania
Stefan Teodorescu has over 20 years of experience in marketing strategy, communication and training. He is currently the marketing capability manager for Asahi Europe & International, a global beer, spirits, soft drinks and food group with leading positions in European and Asia-Pacific markets. Asahi Europe & International Group runs 19 production facilities in 8 countries across Europe, and is the custodian of some of the best beer brands in the world, including Asahi Super Dry, Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch and Kozel.
Stefan is also an active member of the International Advertising Association in Romania, as professor at the IAA Marketing School and member of the Effie Awards organising team. Stefan co-founded a non-profit organisation called MindfulNester, aiming to bring more balance and wellbeing into the Romanian leadership community.

Corina has been in this industry for 14 years and is still loving every minute.
She brings a deeply human sense of reality to every project, be it global, regional or local for T-Mobile, P&G, URSUS – no #1 premium beer in Romania, About You, Unicef and many more.
She had the pleasure and privilege to see her work awarded in Cannes Lions, Effie Europe, Effie Romania, Golden Drum, EPICA, Andy’s. But, most of all, she had the pleasure to see her work ignite real conversations around social issues she cares deeply about.
César Valadares, Head Of Strategy, MRM Paris, France
Having worked in London and Paris, César has extensive experience developing innovative strategies for Bluechip clients (L’Oréal, Royal Canin, Nestlé, Sony, Ubisoft, Barilla). Passionate about new technologies and psychology, he uses his knowledge to support his clients in an ever-changing digital world.
His strategic expertise covers a range of disciplines from digital transformation, service design, innovation strategy, digital strategy and integrated marketing.
Driven by an on-going curiosity and keen on taking unresolved challenges, César strives to create innovating & sustainable solutions that benefit both his client’s business as well as the end users.
Paul Springer, Director of the School of Communication, Falmouth University, United Kingdom
Professor Paul Springer is the current President of Edcom and Director for the School of Communication at Falmouth University. He is also a writer on pioneering communications for industry and for education. He was an advisor to Havas and The China Advertising Association and was lead consultant for Saudi Arabia's first specialist college of advertising.
Springer has written three books (so far) on pioneering media practices. He is working on projects for Routledge, The History of Advertising Trust and he has given keynote addresses at Advertising Week: Europe, The Marketing Association, Social Media Week and the Branded Content Network Association.
Springer has worked with brands including 02, Universal McCann, RadiumOne, Zee TV and Cheil, and has written on advertising innovation for The Telegraph, Forbes, Newsweek, Admap and various Routledge publications. Springer is currently editing a book called Re-Educating Coms, which concerns the preparation of graduates for a rapidly changing communications landscape, and is working on a pilot broadcast titled Digital Persuaders with Carnaby Media.
Cliff Van Wyk, Senior Lecturer, Bournemouth University, United Kingdom
Cliff is a Senior Lecturer in marketing communications at Bournemouth University in the UK, with special emphasis on Strategic Planning, Behavioural Economics and Applied Creativity.
Cliff worked in senior positions in advertising and marketing consulting in various parts of the world, prior to joining Bournemouth University in 2007. He has worked for, and with, some of the world's leading agencies and marketers, such as Lintas, Lowe Worldwide, Unilever, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Dulux, 3M, Mercedes-Benz, HSBC and IBM.
He has delivered presentations and research papers at major international conferences and is actively involved with various industry bodies. Over the past few years, Cliff has given lectures (and facilitated bootcamps and workshops) in Spain, Argentina, South Africa, Ecuador, France and the Netherlands. He has also served as a judge on several advertising and creative awards programmes.
Cliff is an academic member of IPA, D&AD and AEF (USA), and has been a member of the board of EDCOM since 2016.
Kirsten van Poppel, Lecturer, Fontys School of Economics, The Netherlands
Kirsten is an (Online) Marketing Teacher at the Fontys School of Economics in the Netherlands.
She is a big fan of research and data analysis. Before becoming a teacher, she worked several years at a marketing communication agency with a focus on creating online campaigns for companies such as Philips, Proact, and Greenchoice.
She lives near Breda with her husband and their 3 kids.
