Dan Petre has a PhD in Sociology and is a renowned expert in communication sciences. He is active both in the business field, as Partner within D&D Research and also in the academia, as Lecturer within the Communication and Public Relations University in Bucharest (SNSPA). Dan is also one of the board members of IAA Romania (International Advertising Association). After 20 years of activity, he has an extensive knowledge of the Romanian Marcomm industry and is an acknowledged speaker in marketing and research events. He is also the author and co-author of several volumes regarding advertising and consumers psychology.
Sandra Femenia Almerich
Sandra Femenía has a degree in Adventising and Public Relations and has a PhD in Communication through the Thesis: management of Sport Sponsorship focusing on net theory. As a professor, her professional life has been linked to CEU Cardenal Herrera University since 2001. She is the person in charge of subjects such as: Creative Thinking, Corporate Communication, Public Relations Theory, Internal Communication, Advertising and Public Relations Technics, Communication in International Environments, etc. She takes part in 3 groups of research: Drugs Consumption and traffic accidents, Rock and love: interactive communication, Olympic Games, disability and communication. She took part in National and International Congress and Seminars as a speaker, as an organising and scientific committee. She has much experience in organising and managing activities and events, in and for CEU Cardenal Herrera University.

Dan Mares
Dan is a Digital Strategy Consultant working with various agencies in Romania. He has worked as a Digital Strategist for McCann Prague where he was directly involved in developing the new Vodafone Youth Platform. Previously he was part of the inception and launch of Indygen, a youth focused MVNO built for Vodafone Romania, as the Digital Experience Manager. He also worked with JTI to create a unified digital platform for all consumer activations, campaigns and CRM projects and before that, was part of the SAB Miller Team in Romania coordinating the digital communication projects for the beer portfolio in the Romanian market. His main focus is how technology is redefining brands, their structure, their proposition and connection to their audience. From digital transformation processes to enhancing customer services, Dan’s work has been about finding new ways to make brands more relevant through digital technology.
Jessica Bjurström
Jessica is in the business of communication/pr, lobbying, leadership and tech since 25 years; from launching web-tv, building tech platforms, building sales teams, advocating for gender equality in the communications industry and now sustainability in all its form, she did it. Today she is the spokesperson of KOMM, the Swedish Association of Communication Agencies. The association serves as a consultative and inspirational member organisation, as well as an informative interest group and creator of public opinion. In 2012 KOMM created a Human Resources Committee with a single focus: how to create a balanced advertising industry by 2020. Since then KOMM has revised its own charter and has been mandated by its member agencies to help them achieve this change.

Edith Schratzberger-Vécsei
Edith Schratzberger-Vécsei works as a medical doctor and psychotherapist in Vienna. She has worked on gender equality for 15 years. Currently she is the president of the European Women's Lobby. She focuses on violence against women, gender stereotypes and gender medicine.
Elvira Buijink
Elvira Buijink joined the European Women’s Lobby in October 2013 as Communications and Media Officer. Her work covers the coordination of all EWL internal and external communications, including contacts with the press, the EWL website, social media and the graphic design and editing of publications and informational material. She is particularly interested in the link between feminism and culture, and has been a volunteer at the Belgian film festival Elles Tournent, which supports movies made by women directors. Elvira, who is both Belgian and Dutch, holds a Bachelor in European Studies from the University of Maastricht, a Master’s degree in Comparative and International Politics of the KULeuven and a Specialised Master in ‘Communication et Affairs Européennes’ from the Brussels IHECS Institute. She previously worked as a project coordinator at the European Movement of Belgium, a civil society organisation that encourages a better connection between the European Union and its citizens. Among others, she coordinated projects in relation with the European elections of 2009 and the Belgian Presidency of the EU in 2010.

Ricardo Monteiro
During his 37 years-long career in Marketing and Advertising, Ricardo hold a number of top management positions in different International agencies, culminating with his appointment as Global President at Havas Worldwide in 2016 and Global Chairman in 2016.
Throughout his career, Ricardo has been awarded various prestigious awards such as Personality of the Year and Personality of the Decade (Meios&Publicidade, 2010), Lusos Career Award (2014) as well as Career Award by Meios&Publicidade (2016).
Currently, Ricardo divides his time between his role as TV commentator on International Politics and Economics at TVI 24 Portugal, the teaching at Oporto Business School and his activity as Angel Investor at RedAngels.

Alexandre Duarte
PhD in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho, Degree in Marketing & Advertising from IADE and Master in Communication & Image, Alexandre Duarte is also visiting professor in many schools and postgraduate courses, as IADE, EPBJC and ESAD, developer of the Research Unit UNIDCOM and Course Coordinator of the Portfolio Workshop®. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to work for several multinational companies in Portugal and Brazil, such as TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, W / Portugal, W / Brazil, Lowe and BrandiaCentral, where until recently he worked as Senior Copywriter.
He has held several seminars on communication, regularly participates in various conferences and lectures at businesses and in universities. He is Communications Director of the Portuguese Federation of Krav Maga, Text Editor of a surfing magazine called SOUP and occasionally collaborates with several other academic and professional journals.
Luc Van Dyk
Luc van Dijk (1989) is the owner of AeronAdvies, which is independent SME marketing consultancy agency with roots in Hattem the Netherlands. AeronAdvies excels when it comes to online marketing, innovation and social impact. Luc loves to work in an inspiring environment while working independently at the same time. He learns quickly and is being a valued member of any team. His specialties are: social media marketing, marketing communication and public relations and hands on support for any project. Luc holds a master degree in Communication Sciences (MSc), with a focus on effects of user generated content on brand-value. Besides working for AeronAdvies, Luc teaches online marketing courses at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Windesheim University of applied sciences. Luc also coordinates an international graduation course with students and supervisors around the world. Besides that he has been a councilor for the city of Hattem since 2014.

Sofia Barros
Sofia Barros, 57, has a university diploma in Management (ISEG) and a Master in Marketing (ISCTE); since 2008, is Executive Director at APAP (Portuguese trade association for the leading advertising agencies).
Her career starts as account manager in 1984 at Publicis, moved to Marketing, and for 10 years went from brand manager at Bosch to board member and CEO of Panasonic, Technics and Hyundai Portuguese representative. Back to advertising agencies, Sofia was CEO of D’Arcy and Leo Burnett during 13 years.
Sofia also was a teacher in ISEG, European University, and on ISCTE and Católica University Marketing Master Programs.
Sofia, also Executive Director of APECOM and APAME (Portuguese trade associations, for the leading Communication and Media agencies) represents the three Associations on key Portuguese industry bodies (private and public), and is EACA NAC Chairman (National Association Council).
Susana Carvalho
CEO at JWT Lisbon from 2002, Susana comes a long way: she has been Account Director, Group Account Director, Head of MKT&HR, Chief Operating Officer and Board Director 1991/2002.
She has been President of APAP – Portuguese Association of Advertising Agencies from 2006 to 2012 and vice-president during the previous mandate; she has also put her skills at service as member of the board of ICAP (Advertising Self-Regulatory Institute) in 2005-2007 and 2012-2015. In 2007, Susana was invited by the governmental Energy Agency to coordinate a team of experts to give a contribution to the PNAEE (National Plan for Energy Efficiency), mandatory for all the EU country members, and from there she was challenged by academia to join a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainability Policies, a pioneering program with 3 public universities and the support of East Anglia, UK, combining social and exact sciences,
Susana has been member of the jury in several festivals: 1st Effie Awards Edition, 2005; 1st edition of the Radio Festival SPOT in 2009 and Sapo Digital Awards; at the Neurónio Awards for Relationship Marketing in 2010 she has taken the role of President of the jury.

Ana Sofia Fernandes
Ana Sofia Fernandes is the Secretary-General of the Portuguese Platform for Women’s Rights, an umbrella organisation of 25 women’s human rights and gender equality NGOs, which has Special Consultative Status by the UN ECOSOC. She is also the Portuguese Board Member of the European Women’s Lobby. Between 2010 and 2015 she worked at the European Institute for Gender Equality as Stakeholders’ Coordinator and Resource & Documentation Centre officer. With studies in International Relations and Cooperation for Development, her civic engagement in gender equality dates to 2000, when she co-founded and was the first President of the Portuguese Network of Young People for Gender Equality. Certified gender equality trainer, she held positions as member of the consultative council of the Commission for Equality and Women’s Rights, President of the Portuguese Platform for Women’s Rights, member of the General Assembly of the European Women’s Lobby and member of the Board of the Association of Women from Meridional Europe. Among others, she was engaged in the preparation of the 1st World Conference of Ministers of Youth of the United Nations System, and worked in several policy areas of the Portuguese Administration.
