Team The 04 from Sup de Pub, Paris, Wins the edcom Ad Venture x Lipton Student Competition!

The European Institute for Commercial Communications Education (edcom) and the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) are delighted to announce the winner of the 16th annual advertising student competition, Ad Venture, in collaboration with Lipton Pepsico and Cannes Lions. The team the 04 from Sup de Pub, Paris, scooped the first place with their campaign ‘The City Cooler’.

Ad Venture is the first Pan-European competition that offers the opportunity to more than 400 comms students from all over Europe, and beyond, to work on real-life cases provided by real clients. The winning team is awarded tickets for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

In a digital society where the new generation is spending increased time engaging on social media platforms, Lipton® ICE TEA has challenged the students to use their insights and creativity to appeal to Gen-Z by creating a standout, trendy, relevant brand image through a fashionable Swag programme.

Almost 400 students from 25 universities across 10 countries engaged in the competition. After two rounds of judging and a final live pitching session in London, the team The 04 from Sup de Pub, Paris, was announced the winners!

Lorena Fahmy, Melia Namjoui, Ines Mahjoub, and Manyl Hendou convinced the jury with their impressive campaign and compelling pitch. Check out their campaign now here!

Joanne Booth, Jury Chair, commented: “The quality of the papers this year was incredible, each finalist team pushing the boundaries of the brief in very different ways, from compelling insights to AI. Our winner stood out to all the jurors because of its unprecedented depth of craft in creative execution as well as media placement. The O4 with “The City Cooler” inspired us all, a compelling and unique idea that single-mindedly spoke to the Lipton Iced Tea brand and their audience.”

“What a rollercoaster this experience has been! We’re beyond thrilled to have gone this far, and on top of that, with the best team that made the whole journey extra fun!” commented the team The 04.

The other two finalist teams, The Sunrays and The Moonrisers, from the New Bulgarian University, were recognised for the strong research, their creative proposals and their excellent pitches on the day.

The three finalist teams pitched live in front of the panel of jurors representing the client, industry, and academia. Lipton® ICE TEA was represented by Galina Ryazanova, Nipa Shah and Maya Jabrallah. Agency representatives included Jordan McDowell, Digital Strategy Director at McCann Manchester and Bianca Noaves, Planning Director at Ogilvy UK. Edcom was represented by Madalina Moraru from the University of Bucharest and Jackie-Raphael-Luu from the University of the Arts London. The jury was chaired by Joanne Booth, Strategy Director at Dentsu Creative London.
